About the event
In the summer of 2025, Brave Voices from local LGBTQIA+ families rose up at a community event at Brix Cider in Mount Horeb to share stories of identity and resilience, challenges and triumphs. This August 30, PFLAG will gather there again. This time, they come to celebrate the power of sharing of their stories in the newly-published Little Creek Press book, Brave Voices Rising: Stories of Identity, Resilience, and the Power of Being Heard.
Stories told were compiled for the book by PFLAG Mount Horeb with the hope that publishing them in a book would reach a wider audience, raise awareness, and offer a resource of learning and comfort. The Aug. 30th book launch celebrates not just the publication of that book but also the connections and understandings that its stories bring to LGBTQIA+ members, their families, and the communities we all live in.
The celebration begins at 6 p.m.…
