About the event
Our September speaker is Dr. Teddy Goetz (they, them). Teddy is a psychiatry resident at the University of Pennsylvania and is affiliated with the Eidos LGBTQ+ Health Initiative. Their lived experience as a non-binary/trans, queer, neurodivergent, chronically ill, Jewish person informs their writing, research, and clinical work.
Teddy recently published the graphic novel, “Gender is Really Strange,” and they will speak about the content of this book. Some questions addressed include: What does it mean to be trans? Non-binary? Gender Expansive? What parts of gender come from society? What parts come from within?
Teddy will speak from 6-7 PM. The remaining hour is reserved for sharing and support. Join us in the library’s public meeting room. (This is not a library sponsored event.) This presentation is made possible by a grant from the Mt. Horeb Community Foundation. Please RSVP if you prefer to join us over Zoom so we can email the link to you.
