About the event
Dick Wagner is the author of two groundbreaking volumes on gay history in Wisconsin. He will speak to us about Ending the Erasure of LGBT Lives: A Personal Journey to An Inclusive History. Dick Wagner came to Wisconsin in 1965 for graduate school in American History earning a PhD in 1971. Elected to the Dane County Board in 1980, he was among the first dozen out officials in the United States. In 1983, Governor Tony Earl appointed him to co-chair the Wisconsin Governors' Council on Lesbian and Gay Issues. The Wisconsin Historical Society is publishing his two volume work on Wisconsin’s gay history. You must register in advance to attend this meeting: Dick will speak from 6-7 PM. After a short break, the remaining time will be used for sharing and support.
