Guest Speaker Vica Steel

Vica Steel is a woman. She is transgender.  And she is starting her journey at the age of 56 toward becoming a faith leader.  She could tell you all the joy and pain and hope that is embedded in those sentences, but this is a bio, not a book! So let’s keep to the essentials -- Vica loves gardening (even when the garden is more weed than fruit). She also does woodworking, writes, and finds God in the world around her while walking her dog or enjoying coffee with her wife.   And she is thinking about board games. And life. And how we allow ourselves, too often, to be constrained by rules and expectations that serve only to close off possibilities. So let’s talk today about opening up possibilities. Vica will share some of her story, but her focus is always on how we can grow and learn and become. We are strong together.

VIca will speak from 6-7 PM. After a short break, the remaining hour will be used for support and sharing.
