About the event
Zoë Heitzinger (she/her) is the Prevention Outreach Specialist at DAIS in Madison. Her job includes two parts of Primary Prevention and Outreach Education. Zoë speaks with a variety of people and groups about various topics related to Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence and raises awareness about these topics. She also runs MENS Club (acronym for Men Encouraging Nonviolent Strength) with high school and middle school boys in our area. DAIS stands as a safe and equitable place for those impacted by Domestic Violence and Intimate Partner Violence in our community in Madison.
For this meeting, Zoë will be speaking about an overview of Domestic Violence/Intimate Partner Violence and as it relates to the LGBTQIA+ community, how we see toxic masculinity show up in DV/IPV, and the services DAIS has to offer.
