About the event
Sam Sharpe is a PhD candidate studying evolutionary ecology and a staff member for InterConnect, an intersex support organization. They have been involved in trans and intersex activism since 2016, and are passionate about science communicaiton and facilitating a broader scope of conversations about sex and gender diversity. Sam will share some of their experiences as a former NCAA athlete as well as addressing widespread misconceptions about transgender and intersex athletes.
Sam will speak from 6-7 PM. The remaining time is reserved for sharing and support. There is no need to RSVP to attend in person. If you prefer to attend over Zoom, please RSVP and we will send you the meeting link the night before our meeting.
