About the event
Vicki Shaffer retired from Clark Street Community School in June 2022. She is a founding member of GSAFE, a non-profit organization dedicated to creating just schools for LGBT students and staff. Vicki also helped found Middleton's first GSA (gender and sexuality alliances). In 2021, she won the Legacy Award from the Gay-Straight Alliance for Safe Schools (GSAFE) for transforming the lives of countless students and staff members. In addition to found GSAFE.
Vicki will share her story from 6-7 PM. The remaining hour is reserved for sharing and support. You do not need to RSVP to join us in person, but if you prefer to attend via Zoom, please RSVP and we will email you a link the evening before the event. This is not a library sponsored event. You'll find us in the meeting room to your left as you enter the library.
